Vaxco Pharmaceuticals Opens Clinical Trial for reBalanceCa, a New Product to Treat Oral Mucositis.
Vaxco Pharmaceuticals, in partnership with Hope Cancer Institute in Kansas City, Kansas began accruing patients for a clinical trial that opened in January, 2009. To date, 26 patients have enrolled to test the efficacy of a mouth rinse to treat oral mucositis, a painful and often debilitating adverse side effect of chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments. Of the 26 patients, 95% have experienced positive results within 3-24 hours of rinsing with reBalanceCa. Patients report reBalanceCa is very effective and provides a better quality of life than other prescription and over-the-counter products.
