Raj Sadasivan M.D., Ph.D.
Founder, CEO
Raj Sadasivan M.D., Ph.D. founded Vaxco Pharmaceuticals in 2007 to help further develop his pioneering research in cancer vaccination. After receiving his Ph.D. in immunology and cell biology and M.D. degree from the University of Kansas in 1981 and 1985 respectively, he completed post graduate training in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Cancer Research. Dr. Sadasivan was on the faculty at the University of Kansas School of Medicine from 1992 to 1997. After teaching at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, he went into private practice opening the doors to Hope Cancer Institute in Kansas City, Kansas in 1997. He has authored 37 research publications with a focus on cancer related gene expression and immunology as well as 3 books on the staging and treatment of cancer. Through his private practice and his research efforts, Dr. Sadasivan continues to focus on providing hope for his patients through cutting-edge treatments and outstanding care.
Rebecca Campbell, J.D.
President
Ms. Campbell currently serves as our President and General Counsel. Ms. Campbell joined Vaxco Pharmaceuticals in July, 2007 and served in positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to that time, she was engaged in the private practice of law for 25 years and was the owner of the Campbell Law Corporation. Her practice concentrated on current and emerging business issues where she provided consultation on matters such as banking laws and regulations, construction matters, financial planning, strategic alliances and executive and management activities. Ms. Campbell’s representative clients included banks, real estate companies, physicians, a casino, an American Indian Tribe, construction companies and other business entities and ventures. Ms. Campbell has been a guest lecturer to various business groups. Ms. Campbell has served as general counsel to Raj Sadasivan, M.D., Ph.D., and Hope Cancer Institute since 1996. She received her J.D. degree from the University of Missouri School of law and her B.A. in Political Science from the Central Missouri State University.
Molly Gavin
Vice President
Ms. Gavin currently serves as our Vice President where she oversees our Sales, Marketing and Public Relations departments. Ms. Gavin joined Vaxco Pharmaceuticals in July, 2007. Prior to that time, Ms. Gavin worked closely with Raj Sadasivan, M.D., Ph.D., where for 11 years she held several positions in market research, product management and business development while gaining valuable experience in therapeutic activities, including specialty medical products, vaccines, and drug development. Ms. Gavin was Vice President of Hope Cancer Institute where she served in this capacity from 2002 to 2007. Ms. Gavin also served as Executive Director of Heartland Cancer Research and Treatment Center from 1998 to 2002, a not-for- profit organization which focused on providing outreach services to the underserved communities in the Kansas City area. Ms. Gavin has more than 25 years of experience in management, marketing and sales in the healthcare, communications and aerospace industries. She received her B.A. degree in Sociology from Stephens College.
